Earlier this month I spent 14 days traveling all over Ireland with my sister-in-law and niece. When I travel I like to stay in beautiful, unique places like The Lodge at Ashford Castle. The Lodge has classic architecture with hip décor that’s simply luxurious, warm, and cozy.
After a week of being up super early and staying up way too late, we needed a break! We wanted, no –needed – someplace where we could relax, decompress, and still take in the Irish experience. The Lodge of Ashford Castle was exactly that.
The Lodge is a 4-star hotel situated on the 350-acre estate of Ashford Castle that offers chic country charm with modern flair. The Lodge is the perfect family-friendly place to unwind and enjoy the Irish countryside with a wealth of activities available within the estate. It’s located in Cong, Ireland and overlooks the beautiful Lough Corrib.
Throughout the common areas at The Lodge, there are cozy sitting areas where you can sit and have a chat, read a good book, or order drinks.
The rooms are gorgeous! We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite that’s perfect for families. It had a bedroom with 2 queen beds, a living room with a daybed, and a generous-sized bathroom.
The bathroom was modern and sleek with luxurious amenities like a rain showerhead and heated towel racks.
The hallways in the common area were my favorite in the Lodge.
The Lodge at Ashford Castle has an incredible restaurant, Wilde’s.
The Lodge also offers an impressive breakfast buffet with countless options. Between freshly-made smoothies, a full Irish breakfast, and freshly-baked pastries, you won’t leave hungry!
