How To Make Hot Pimento Cheese Dip
***For complete recipe instructions, see the recipe card below.
- First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and spray a 2-quart casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Then, mix all of the ingredients in a large bowl until combined.
- Evenly spread the mixture into the baking dish and bake for twenty-five to thirty minutes.
- Finally, allow the dip to cool for five minutes before serving.
Recipe Variations and Substitutions
- If you cannot find jarred pimientos, then you can use jarred roasted bell peppers. Just drain them and dice enough to fill a ⅓ cup measuring cup.
- Please DO NOT use pre-shredded and packaged cheese. This type of cheese is coated with cornstarch or flour and will not yield the best texture when it’s baked.
- You can use low-fat cream cheese, but please don’t use fat-free.
Hot Pimento Cheese Dip Serving and Storage Tips
MAKE AHEAD: You can prepare the dip ahead all the way up to baking it. Just cover and stick the unbaked mixture in the fridge until you’re ready to bake it. Be prepared to add 5-10 minutes to the baking time.
SERVE: Serve with tortilla chips, toasted baguette slices, and vegetable sticks.
STORE: Cover and store leftovers in the refrigerator for 4 days.
FREEZE: Because of all the dairy, this recipe does not freeze, thaw, and reheat well.
