The soup can be frozen. However, due to its creamy base, the texture might change slightly after freezing and reheating. The gnocchi and dairy components can sometimes become grainy or separate when thawed. To freeze, let the soup cool completely, then transfer it to an airtight container or a freezer-safe bag. When you're ready to eat it, thaw the soup overnight in the refrigerator before reheating on the stovetop over medium heat. You might need to add a bit of broth or milk to restore the original consistency

Just a small addition olive garden adds a pinch of nutmeg into their soup. I tried to duplicate it at home after the first time I had it. I got close but had to go back for more to pin it down :)

Hi Ginny, I haven't tried this recipe with almond milk. I image you can make it with almond milk, but I can't speak to the taste.

My father had lunch with us today. I prepared this Chicken Gnocchi Soup as directed, using canned chicken breast (including the broth) and added grated parmesan cheese in step 5, with fresh parm at the table. Salt and pepper were also added at the table. It was excellent.
There were a couple of things I was tempted to cut back on, but decided to follow the recipe as written this first time of making it. I'm glad I did. This recipe was perfect for us. Thank you!
