I really loved this recipe, except for the dumplings. Maybe it's just personal taste, but I did as the recipe says and used canned biscuits (cuz let's face it, we get in a hurry) and did everything else to a t. I used canned Grands original biscuits, nothing sweet, but it slipped my mind that canned biscuits in general are sweetened to a point. So this dish to be turned out more sweet than savory. Next time I make this I'm not going to cut the corner, instead I'll use Bisquick drop biscuits and just plop the little bits of dough in.
