I haven’t made this yet, but wanted to commend you on the design of the site. I don’t mind going through a little bit for something that sounds wonderful. I appreciate the fact that it was very easy, helpful tips and hopefully I can make this come out exactly as delicious as this looks to be! TY

3 stars: Sorry, I can’t say this is the best zucchini bread I have made. I know everybody has different tastes but this has a slightly bitter aftertaste and I think it might be due to the amount of baking powder. It originally seemed like a lot to me so I double checked the recipe online to confirm it called for 2 teaspoons. I also think the amount of spices is a little strong and I really like these warm spices in most things. I didn’t have allspice so I substituted clove, nutmeg and a bit of ginger. I didn’t even use the full amount of spices called for.
Anybody who likes a more gentle spice flavor should cut the amounts to half of what is called for. I also think a bit more salt is needed.
These did baked to a nice shape and color though.

Alice, I am SO glad that you enjoyed this recipe! And I didn't know that the huge zucchinis were edible. Great tips, thanks for stopping by! :)

I grow zukes and many get way too prolific. As a result, I have tried all kinds of zuke bread recipe....Hands down, this is a KEEPER.

I just shared this on facebook with my friends with a high five rating! I made four loaves using two baseball bat zukes (yes baseball bats do work if you squeeze out the water and cut out the bitter seeds). I found it a bit too sweet for my taste so I'll be upping the spice, not sprinkling the top with sugar, and maybe adding dried cranberries.

EXCELLENT! Thank you!
