These Cheddar Biscuits are so easy to whip up. They take only 25 minutes to make and they taste SO much better than the original!
– All-purpose flour – Baking powder – Sugar – Old Bay Seasoning – Salt – Vegetable shortening – Cold unsalted butter – Yellow sharp cheddar cheese – Whole milk
TOTAL PREP TIME: 25 mins.
YIELD: 14 pieces
NOTE: I have a make ahead version for this recipe as well. Follow the recipe below up until baking. Cover sheet tray with foil. Refrigerate the dough until ready to use.
Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, Old Bay seasoning, and salt, and pulse. Add shortening and butter then pulse more. Add cheese then mix, then scoop into the tray.
Bake the cheddar biscuits at 425 F. Add butter and garlic to a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until melted. Add chopped parsley.
These Cheddar Biscuits are also fabulous served at brunch. I recently served them with quiche for a birthday brunch and the two paired perfectly!
