Cheddar Biscuits Copycat Recipe

These Cheddar Biscuits are so easy to whip up. They take only 25 minutes to make and they taste SO much better than the original!

They are so tasty and go with practically any type of soup or chili.

Ingredients AND RECIPE COST

– All-purpose flour – Baking powder – Sugar – Old Bay Seasoning – Salt – Vegetable shortening  – Cold unsalted butter – Yellow sharp cheddar cheese – Whole milk

TOTAL PREP TIME: 25 mins.

YIELD: 14 pieces

NOTE: I have a make ahead version for this recipe as well. Follow the recipe below up until baking. Cover sheet tray with foil. Refrigerate the dough until ready to use.

Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, Old Bay seasoning, and salt, and pulse. Add shortening and butter then pulse more. Add cheese then mix, then scoop into the tray.

Bake the cheddar biscuits at 425 F. Add butter and garlic to a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until melted. Add chopped parsley.

Once the cheddar biscuits finishes baking, brush them with butter mixture and serve warm.
