NOTE: Sometimes I melt butterscotch chips instead of chocolate chips in the recipe for a delicious pumpkin and butterscotch flavor combination!
Mix together the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until mixture resembles web sand. Then, press the crust mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Beat together the cream cheese and sugar on medium speed. Add eggs one at a time. Turn the mixer off, add the pumpkin, pumpkin spice, vanilla, and salt, and beat on low speed.
Add the chocolate and butter in a pot, and stir frequently until chocolate is melted over low heat. Pour chocolate mixture into 1 ¼ cups pumpkin mixture.
