First, cut the onions in half and lay them cut side down in the bottom of the slow cooker. Mix brown sugar and seasonings together, and then cover the outside of the pork well.

Place the pork over the onions.

Cook on high for four hours or low for eight hours.

Finally, shred the pork with two forks. Remove the onions and reserve two cups of the drippings.
