BANG BANG SHRIMP:

Instructions
PREP SHRIMP:
Peel and devein shrimp, and remove the tail.
Heat oil in a deep skillet until it reaches 375 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer.
PREP COATING:
Add the shrimp to a large mixing bowl and cover the shrimp with buttermilk; set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine cornstarch, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
COAT SHRIMP:
Remove the shrimp from the buttermilk and shake off the excess.
Coat the shrimp in cornstarch and shake off excess coating.
FRY SHRIMP:
Once the oil has come up to temperature, carefully add the shrimp.
Fry for 3-5 minutes or until the shrimp is a light golden brown color.
Remove the shrimp from the oil and transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
MAKE DIPPING SAUCE:
In another bowl, combine mayonnaise, sriracha, honey, and sweet chili sauce.
SERVE:
Serve the shrimp immediately on their own or over a bed of cooked brown rice.
Garnish with fresh chopped chives or red cabbage (both optional).
Notes
This recipe will serve about 6-8 served as an appetizer.
