In a large frying pan over medium heat add the vegetable oil. Once simmering, add the onion and cook until the onion is softened and translucent about 3-4 minutes.
Add the ground beef and cook until the beef is browned and no longer pink.
Stir in the spices, tomato sauce, and soy sauce.
Cook for 3 minutes stirring frequently and then remove the pan from the heat.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
ASSEMBLE AND SERVE WRAPS:
Divide the beef filling between the 8 lettuce leaves and top with carrot, cabbage, and green onion.
