This copycat Outback Steakhouse Walkabout Soup recipe is delicious, comforting, and just as good as the original!
This recipe tastes very, very close to Outback’s Walkabout Soup. I hope you enjoy my copycat recipe!
– low sodium chicken stock – white cooking wine – bay leaves – sweet yellow onions – white onion – all purpose flour – heavy cream – shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese – Monterey Jack cheese – salt & black pepper

NOTE: If you’re serving this as a main dish, it will serve 6 people.
In a large stock pot add the chicken stock, cooking wine, bay leaves and onions. Bring to a boil over high heat, and then reduce to a simmer. Simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour.
Remove the bay leaves, and gently whisk in the flour until a few, small clumps of flour remain. Simmer soup for 30 minutes.
Cook's Note: After you whisk in the flour in step 2, a few small clumps of flour will remain. Don’t fret. They will be gone at the end of the 30-minute simmer!
