Instructions
PREP OVEN:
Move the oven rack to the middle position.
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
PREP CASSEROLE:
Cut the brioche bread into 1-inch cubes and place them in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
Whisk together the eggs, milk, half-and-half, vanilla extract, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt in a mixing bowl until well combined.
Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring they are all evenly coated.
CHILL CASSEROLE:
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes (or overnight) to allow the bread to soak up the egg mixture.
When you're ready to bake, remove the dish from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
BAKE CASSEROLE:
Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake it for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, remove the aluminum foil and continue cooking for 15 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
COOL AND SERVE:
Let the casserole cool for 5 minutes.
Dust with powdered sugar.
Serve with your favorite toppings, such as fresh fruit, whipped cream, or additional maple syrup.
