Cheesy Broccoli Cauliflower Casserole

This Cheesy Broccoli Cauliflower Casserole is not only delicious but super quick & easy to make, too!

This meets my party food requirements: it holds together well and it tastes so good.

Ingredients

–  Saltine Crackers – Extra-sharp cheddar cheese – Unsalted butter melted – Garlic  – Salt & pepper – All-purpose flour – Heavy cream – Low-sodium chicken broth – Frozen broccoli florets  – Frozen cauliflower florets  – Dried ground mustard

NOTE: You can use either yellow or white extra-sharp cheddar cheese in this recipe, I used white. Use a high-quality cheddar for the best results.

Preheat to 450 degrees F. Add the crushed crackers, melted butter, shredded cheddar cheese, salt and pepper in a bowl.

Sauté remaining garlic in butter and add flour, stirring constantly. Slowly whisk in the cream and broth, then the cauliflower and broccoli florets.

Pour casserole mixture into a 9×13-inch, or any other 3-quart baking dish and top with cracker crumbs.

Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until crumbs are golden brown and crisp. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Please shred your own cheese, because the pre-shredded variety has starches and other agents added to it to prevent clumping.
