How To Make Salmon Caesar Salad
Make Caesar Dressing:
- In a large bowl, add the Caesar dressing ingredients.
- Mix until thoroughly combined. Taste and adjust salt and pepper. Chill.

Cook Salmon:
- Add butter, garlic, and lemon juice to a large saute pan over medium heat. Mix for 1 minute or until fragrant.
- Place the salmon in the pan. Season with half the paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Flip the salmon, season the other side, and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until it is flaky.

Assemble Salad:
- Add lettuce, croutons, tomatoes, parmesan cheese, and shallot in a serving bowl.
- Add dressing and toss until fully coated.
- Top the salad with the salmon and shaved cheese before serving.

Ingredients
CAESAR DRESSING:
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese grated
- ⅛ cup red wine vinegar
- 1 garlic clove minced
- ½ Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon anchovy paste
- ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ⅛ teaspoon coarse kosher salt
SALMON:
- 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 garlic clove minced
- ½ teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 salmon filets 6 ounces each
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ⅛ teaspoon coarse kosher salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
SALAD:
- 1 head of romaine lettuce chopped
- 3 cups iceberg lettuce chopped
- ½ cup croutons
- ¼ cup cherry tomatoes halved
- ⅛ cup parmesan grated
- 1 Tablespoon shallot sliced
- 2 Tablespoons parmesan shaved
Instructions
MAKE DRESSING:
- In a large bowl, add the caesar dressing ingredients.
- Mix until thoroughly combined—taste to see if more salt and pepper is needed.
- Place the dressing in the fridge.
COOK SALMON:
- Add the butter, garlic, and lemon juice in a large saute pan over medium heat. Mix for 1 minute or until fragrant.
- Place the salmon in the saute pan. Season the salmon with half the paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the salmon for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Flip the salmon over and season the other side.
- Cook for 2-3 more minutes or until the salmon is flaky.
ASSEMBLE SALAD:
- Add the lettuce, croutons, tomatoes, parmesan cheese, shallot, and dressing to a serving bowl. Toss until the salad is fully coated.
- Top the salad with the salmon and shaved cheese.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- The size of the salmon will vary in the cooking time. You want the salmon to have an internal temperature of 145° F.
- If your salmon has skin, cook the salmon skin side down.
- You can double and even triple the ingredients.
