Smoked Burgers
I love a grilled burger, but what I love even more are smoked burgers! Today I am going to show you why cooking burgers in a smoker is worth the extra time and effort. Smoking the burger patties takes them to the next level. Their irresistible smoky flavor just cannot be beaten.
I use a Traeger for making these Smoked Burgers, and I cannot praise this smoker enough. For this recipe, you merely prep the grill, throw the meat on and walk away. The smoker does the work for you.
There is no need to stand by the grill, checking it every few minutes. Just come back in an hour to flip the burgers, and you’re good to go in another hour.
This Smoked Burger Recipe will be at the top of your list for all your Summer BBQs! Add these truffle fries to the menu, and you’ll have an unforgettable meal!
How long does it take to smoke burgers?
Depending on the thickness of the burger pattie, it will take 90-120 minutes to smoke burgers and bring them to the recommended internal temperature based on your desired doneness. The internal temperature will vary from 125 degrees F to 160 degrees F.
Are smoked hamburgers good?
If you do not have a smoker, it is time to get one! Smoked anything always tastes better, in my opinion! Anything cooked in a smoker grill gets that natural hardwood smoky flavor. Smoked hamburgers are so good!

Slow cooked and DELICIOUS! I’m getting used to my Traeger and the longer cooking times at slower temperatures. But it’s true – as this recipe attests- the flavor is AMAZING.
